Episode 42 – INTROVERT & HOW TO SUCCEED. If you’re an introvert, you can create a successful online business without changing your personality. Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, J.K. Rowling, and Steven Spielberg are introverts!
I’m an introvert. I love to work alone, and I don’t like doing webinars and group coaching. I was teaching yoga classes to a small group of women every week, and with the pandemic, I started to do online yoga sessions with them. I know I should create an online course and open this course to everyone looking for yoga classes… but I’m scared of what people may think. How can an introvert like me succeed and launch an online business? Thanks for your help!
Here is what you can do.
Delete the destructive stereotypes that hold you back and build unshakable confidence in yourself.
Mindset is everything. Introverts are independent, which means that you can grow a mega-successful brand without leaving your house. But you need to believe in yourself first. You can create your online course at home, manage all your clients from home without all the social interaction, and once a week or once a month, you can create a live yoga session where you can interact with your customers and answer their questions.
Get the business skills you need.
It seems that you’re afraid of being on camera. Ask yourself why. Your ICA, your ideal customer, wants a yoga class… and you are a yoga teacher. And if that is what you really want to do, then go for it. List what is holding you back and what qualities you think you need to launch a successful business. If you need help on how to create your videos, your website, or anything related to managing a business, there are tons of resources online to help you get started. Many are free. Once you get the skills you need to succeed, you will become more confident.
Another tip: If being on a video makes you uncomfortable, maybe you can ask two students to join you when you’re recording so you’re not the only one on screen. Make sure your videos are of good quality, the right sound and lighting will make you look professional, and that will also give you more confidence.
Remember to be yourself; if you’re authentic, you’re unique and have no competition.
