Today, while chatting with a client, she asked me a question that made me pause: “What’s your daily routine like?” “How do you manage so many different projects with a tiny team?” Ready to dive into a day in my life?
It’s interesting because, as a service-based business owner, every day brings something different. But there is a rhythm to how I structure my days — balancing client work, strategy, creativity, and (of course) coffee breaks.
So, here’s a peek inside a day in my life running Business Atelier.
Morning: Setting the Tone for the Day ☕
I’m a firm believer that how you start your morning sets the tone for the entire day!
I don’t check emails or messages first thing — I give myself space to wake up, reflect, and plan.
6:00 AM – Morning Routine
- A slow start with coffee in hand (Starbucks) ☕
- A quick journal session or reviewing my goals for the day
- A short walk (or at least stretching if I’m feeling lazy)
Once I’m in the right headspace, I dive into business mode. Before the notifications and emails start rolling in, I dedicate one hour to high-focus tasks:
7:00 AM – Deep Work
This is my golden time — no distractions, just deep work that moves my business forward.
- Working on client strategy or deliverables
- Reviewing brand concepts, financial reports, or proposals
- Creating new content for my business
Mid-Morning: Meetings & Client Calls 📞
10:00 AM – Client Calls & Check-Ins
This is when I connect with clients, whether it’s a strategy session, a website walkthrough, or brainstorming ways to scale their business. Some days, it’s a coaching call, other days it’s finalizing brand designs or reviewing a new template.
📌 Example: Today, I had a call with a business owner launching a new online course. We mapped out her brand messaging and website strategy to make sure her launch attracts the right audience.
11:30 AM – Emails & Team Coordination
Now’s the time to check in on emails, delegate tasks, and update my project management system. Whether I’m working with a designer, content creator, or assistant, I make sure everyone has what they need to keep things moving.
Afternoon: Productivity & Creativity 🎨
1:00 PM – Content & Marketing Work
Afternoons are for business growth — that means:
- Writing blog posts or social media content (like this one!)
- Prepping for an upcoming launch or offer
- Reviewing website templates or branding projects
📌 Example: Today, I finalized a Showit website template and outlined an email sequence for an upcoming workshop.
3:00 PM – Admin & Learning Time
Running a business isn’t just about client work — it’s about growing, learning, and staying ahead. I use this time for:
- Taking an online course or reading a business book
- Catching up on industry trends
💡 Tip: If you don’t make space for learning, it’s easy to get stuck in only delivering services instead of growing your business.
Evening: Wrapping Up & Unplugging 🌙
5:00 PM – Reviewing the Day & Planning Ahead
I wrap up by checking:
- What I accomplished vs. what needs to be rescheduled
- Any final emails/messages before I sign off
- My plan for tomorrow
I try to set boundaries and step away from work in the evenings — otherwise, it’s too easy to keep checking notifications all night.
7:00 PM – Rest & Recharge
The rest of the night is about disconnecting — sometimes it’s a workout or a dinner with friends. Because let’s be real — entrepreneurs need breaks too!
No two days are identical, but each one is focused on:
- Helping my clients grow and scale their businesses
- Building a strong, profitable brand
- Balancing work with creativity and personal time
And that’s what makes running a business exciting — every day is a new opportunity to create, innovate, and grow. 🚀
Now, tell me — what does YOUR ideal workday look like?
