Today is a very special day! I’m celebrating 10 years as a business owner.
It’s the 10th anniversary of my business.
So, thank you, truly, for being a part of my life and this incredible journey.
Last year, I went over what I wish I had known back in 2013 when I launched my business and lessons learned… but today, as I sit down to reflect on the incredible journey of the past decade as a business coach, I can’t help but think about the person I was ten years ago.
Back then, I had dreams, aspirations, and a burning desire to make a difference in entrepreneurship.
Little did I know what the next ten years would bring. If I could, here’s what I’d like to say to that younger version of myself.
Embrace the journey
First and foremost, embrace the journey.
The path ahead is filled with challenges and uncertainties, but each one will contribute to your growth as a coach and individual.
Don’t be afraid to take risks, try new approaches, and learn from your mistakes. It’s all part of the process and will make you stronger and more resilient.
Never stop learning
Ten years from now, you’ll realize how much you’ve learned and grown. But remember, the learning never stops. Stay curious, seek knowledge, and be open to new ideas and perspectives.
The business world is constantly evolving, and your ability to adapt and stay ahead of the curve will be invaluable to your clients and your own professional development.
Celebrate small wins
In pursuing big goals and significant milestones, don’t forget to celebrate the small wins along the way.
These victories, no matter how minor they may seem at the time, are the building blocks of your success.
They will keep you motivated, boost your confidence, and remind you of your positive impact on your clients’ lives.
Empathy + connection
As a business coach, your ability to connect with your clients personally will be just as important as your business acumen.
Cultivate empathy, active listening skills, and a genuine interest in their success. Your clients need your expertise and your unwavering support and understanding during their entrepreneurial journey.
Cherish the impact
The greatest reward of being a business coach is your impact on your clients’ lives.
The moments when you see their businesses flourish, witness their confidence soar, and hear their stories of achievement will fill your heart with pride and fulfillment.
Cherish these moments, for they are the accurate measure of your success.
So, THANK YOU, yes YOU… as always, for reading my posts, asking questions, and being a part of this incredible community.
The past ten years have been incredible, filled with ups and downs, challenges, and triumphs. As I celebrate this milestone, I know my journey as a business coach is far from over.
The next decade holds even more opportunities for growth, learning, and making a difference in entrepreneurs’ lives.
Again, I’m hoping this post helps you realize that if you’re currently on the fence about starting up your business, heck, yes, it is POSSIBLE.
It was not always easy, but I won’t change anything! Only you can make it happen if you decide you’re going to.
Cheers to your success! 🥂
