Online course platforms

Episode 21 – ONLINE COURSE PLATFORMS. Choosing the perfect online course platform for your business is essential.

Alin is ready to build her first online course and needs help selecting the best platform.

I want to create my first online course, and I can’t figure out which online course platform is the best option for me.… My course will be on how to better manage your online business, and all you need to know when you do your budget. I want to share slides, PDF, and links to other resources. Which platform should I use? Please help!

Here is what you can do.

Look at all your options

I suggest looking at three different platforms: Teachable, Thinkific, and Kajabi. I’m sure you can find many others, but these are the 3 platforms I’m most familiar with. They offer different features and functionality, so I recommend you look at all of them before choosing one.

You can try these platforms for FREE for at least 14 days, so try them. You may find a platform easier to customize than another.

Look at the price

Look at what all these platforms have to offer, not just the price. Some platforms may offer a free plan, but you will have to pay a percentage per transaction, which can become very costly in the long run. And you don’t want to have to go back to the drawing board and switch platforms in 6 months. So choose carefully.

Another tip: I use Kajabi because I can manage my email list, the weekly newsletter, and landing pages from this one platform. I don’t have to use any other platforms, and at the end of the month, I save money and time using only one platform.

Remember, your online course must reflect your personality and your expertise. You also want to create something that will last, so think long-term when making this decision.
