Episode 41 – ENTREPRENEURS & HOW TO SUCCEED. Today, let’s talk about athletes and their success to help you understand why some people have more success than others.
Clara wants to know why some business owners have so much success and understands what they do differently to have so much success.
I feel overwhelmed. I have so much to do every day to get more clients and promote my business, and I’m looking for advice. Some business owners have so much success, and I can’t believe that will be me one day. What do they do differently to have so much success? I can’t wait to hear what you have to say. Thanks!
Let’s look at what athletes have in common with successful entrepreneurs.
A plan
You need a short-term and long-term plan. When you don’t have goals, you lack a clear vision of what you want to achieve. Set your goals and take a step back to evaluate your success often. Readjust if the plan is not working as planned. Your short-term goals will help you see your ultimate goals clearly. They will allow you to set specific guidelines to help you attain your long-term goals.
Passion
You must be willing to make endless sacrifices to succeed in business. You need to be passionate about your business. It needs to be your number one preoccupation.
Resilience
Persistence, hard work, and tenacity are all required to succeed at the Olympics or in business. You need to be tenacious and resilient because you will face many ups and downs. Every success has failures. Transform them into a learning experience and use them as stepping stones. Let me say that one more time, there is no success without failures.
Another tip: Get a support group, a coach, or a mentor: As an entrepreneur, you need a support system. When you need help or feel overwhelmed, having someone to talk to is important. Pick a mentor or a coach that suits your goals. A coach or a mentor doesn’t have to be better than you; they have to be good at bringing out the best in you.
Also, keep in mind that bouncing back quickly from failure is essential. I have never been to the Olympic Games, but I am inspired by athletes who succeed because of their determination and strength of character. Success takes time. Keep working, and it will come.
