Today, let’s take some time to review some essential elements related to SEO.

SEO (search engine optimization) can help your website rank higher in search results and drive more traffic to your website… which means more paid clients.

Here are 10 tips to help you with the SEO strategy that you can apply today!

Add a site title, even if you use a logo and a short description that may appear below your site title in search results.

Add your location by creating a Contact Page with your address and a map.

Connect a custom domain, so don’t use to built-in .squarespace.com URL.

Connect to social media and add social sharing images to push content as you publish it and encourage people to share your pages.

Add SEO descriptions on each page of your site.

The text should be short (50-300 characters) and describe the page’s content.

Choose your blog post URL format, include the post’s title, and use keywords strategically to match the search terms people will use to find sites like yours.

Use tags and categories for your blog posts, products, gallery images, and other content.

Ensure SSL is enabled in the Secure setting. Sites without SSL may be penalized.

Give your images readable file names when creating your image file names, and keep your pages nimble to ensure your site loads well (images under 500 KB and overall page size under 5 MB are recommended).

Build links to your site on other websites or Facebook Groups by commenting and sharing your lead magnets or expertise for free. Redirect them to your website for more info.
