You know the possibilities are endless, but you are excited and scared at the same time?

COVID arrived 15 months ago, and many of you decided to create your own business. AWESOME! But starting a new business during a tough economic year is a strong decision.

You are ready to take the plunge to pursue your passions; here are some steps you should be taking before you launch your side hustle business.

Step #1: What’s Your WHY

First, decide why you want to launch your online business. To get more freedom, to be able to travel more often, to generate enough money to ditch your 9-5 job?

Step #2: What you want to sell

You must figure out what you want to do. You may have something in mind already, or maybe you know you want a side hustle but need a little inspiration for what you want to do. Step #3: Define Your ICA

Knowing who your dream ICA is (Customer or Community) will not only help you market your offering, but it can make a significant impact on sales and the success of your business. My ICA is a woman who needs help to launch and run a successful online business. The more specific you can be, the better you’ll be at reaching your ICA. Remember, you can’t sell everything to everyone!

Step #4: Branding (And Grab The Socials!)

Decide what will be the name of your business. It’s a good idea to take potential names and search for them to ensure they aren’t already taken.

Don’t forget to create your Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest accounts with the same name! The last thing you’d want is to choose your business name, grab the domain for your website, and then find out that the name is taken on social media or vice versa.

Step #5: Build Your Website

Having a website is a must. Remember that your social media is an entry point to your brand, whereas a website establishes your credibility. A website is how you can promote your products/services, establish credibility, and draw in new customers.
