Today is a very special Thursday! It’s the 9th anniversary of my business. So thank you, truly, for being a part of my life. Also, thank you for helping me make it to 9 years and allowing me to help you create your dream business.
First, while we are on the topic of celebrating this special milestone, here is what I wish I had known back in 2013 when I launched my business…
✔️ Build the business you want; Your dreams and your actions define you.
✔️ Don’t let others define you with what they tell you to do.
✔️ Create a morning routine and put yourself first.
✔️ Find your passion, your own niche.
✔️ Having fears is normal; it’s okay to recognize them, but don’t live in them, and don’t let them consume you. This stops you from moving forward in your journey.
✔️ Every entrepreneur starts at 0 (0 dollars, 0 clients, 0 followers) – you are not the only one.
✔️ Some of your biggest lessons from “failures” will be your most significant moments of growth.
✔️ Step out of your comfort zone every single day.
Last year, my post celebrating my 8th business anniversary was about the lessons learned during my journey. For instance, I figured out what to do to get referrals and stop being worried about finding more clients, and guess what?
In the past 12 months, we’ve actually reached the seven-figure milestone within a single fiscal year!
7 Lessons Learned While Growing From 6 Figures to 7
✔️ Consistency is the key to success.
✔️ You cannot just work 10x harder to earn 10x more, though. To get to 7 figures, you’ll need to work smart. Get a system in place to manage your clients’ onboarding, social media, and newsletters.
✔️ Putting yourself first is essential! Saying NO helped me have time to read, meditate, go for a run, or just do nothing.
✔️ Business is not one size fits all. You can take a blueprint from a course and build from that, but my recommendation is to personalize your approach and align it with your values, goals, and desires for your future. Don’t use a “copy and paste” formula to build your business.
✔️ Your business’s greatest asset is YOU. Invest in yourself. I invested in a business coach, and this allowed me to create a new offering and also have another perception of my business. Thanks, Emily!
✔️ Get the right people on board. Steve Jobs said, “great things in business are never done by one person; they’re done by a team of people.”
✔️ Define what success means to YOU and then invest energy into connection and relationships to grow what YOU want to do, not what everyone believes you should do.
Et voilà
I love this business I’ve built. My business allows me to live exactly the life I want to, and for that, I’m ever so grateful. Today is a very special Thursday, and I am taking the time to celebrate my journey.
In addition, I’d like to take a moment to THANK YOU, yes YOU… as always, for reading, asking questions, and being a part of this incredible community.
I’m hoping this post helps you realize that if you’re currently on the fence about starting up your business, heck, yes, it is POSSIBLE.
It was not always easy, but I won’t change anything!
Only you can make it happen if you decide you’re going to.
Cheers to your success! 🥂
