Do you want to create a website that turns your visitors into customers?
First, let me ask you: What do you think is the most important function of your website?
>> You want to promote your products or services?
>> You want to provide info to your target audience?
>> Do You want to get more people on your email list?
Maybe you want to select multiple strategies, and it’s OK if you don’t try to do everything at once. Remember that neither will they if you’re not clear about what you want your ICA to do (Ideal Customer/Community Avatar). And your visitors won’t turn into customers.
Here are some elements you can tweak on your website:
Provide a new call-to-action
Change the color and the copy, and add a call-to-action where you want your visitors to do something: buy, get a free resource (you will get their email), or read your Blog.
Provide an incentive
Offer your visitors a discount or a bonus; they will love it! Change your offer every month to grab their interest.
Create catchy headings
You want your visitors to stay on your website. You want your visitors to know that they have come to the right place and that you have the solution to their problem. Create catchy headings and have an excellent copy!
Update your images
Google and your customers like to see new content. Plan to feature one product or service on your home page and change to a different featured item on the first of each month.
Do your home page photos show outdated products or a former employee? Maybe show snow on the ground outside in the middle of summer. Is it not the right thing to do?
Grrrr, swap them out! Change your image, and take new photos of yourself… that can take a few minutes.
Update your testimonials
Don’t underestimate the power of testimonials because they add credibility and value to your business. Post your testimonials on your site and use a mix of videos and written testimonials.
Ensuring that your ICA doesn’t leave too early is critically important; many visitors leave immediately after they land. It’s time to tweak your website, and keep me posted!
Remember, you must TEST, TEST, and RE-TEST before going live!
