I received a question about creating a media kit, and I believe this information can help more people. A media kit contains relevant information about you and your business, and the goal is to get a quick overview of who you are and what you offer. Ready to learn how to create a media kit?
The following is a guide of items you should add to your media kit, but you don’t have to put everything.
High-resolution photos
Photos are everything; you need at least one excellent portrait headshot. You may need to ask your photographer for specific photos.
Your bio
Present your highlights but keep the writing tight and concise. Also, include your website and significant wins and detail your education, publications, inspiration, achievements, and success stories.
A Selection of Important Press Releases, Speaker topics, and featured events
Have you been featured in a newspaper, magazine, or blog? Show screenshots and links to article mentions.
Products/Services Fact Sheet(s)
Present your offering with a brief description, price, and photos.
Social media accounts
List the platforms where you are active (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.), and you can also include follower numbers and subscribers.
Vector version of your logo
You should have a vector version if you had a logo designed. The format will likely be .eps, .ai, or .pdf, and make sure you get this from your designer.
Testimonials/praise from clients and customers
Samples of what our clients have said about working with us and how happy they are with our high-converting inquiries.
Contact Information
You must include your website and contact you (email and phone number).
