I truly love this time of year. Having dinner with a friend on a terrasse, heading to the cottage, and working with a view of the lake… I look forward to summertime and days FULL of sun.

As a business owner looking to scale your business during the summer, there are several strategies you can employ to make the most of the season.
Here is my plan for the summer… !
Set clear and realistic goals
My goal this summer will be to grow my email list by 500 new subscribers per week for the next eight weeks. If you are wondering which strategies will be used to reach my goal…
What will be your goal for the summer? Whether it’s increasing revenue, expanding your customer base, or launching a new product or service, make sure your goals are SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-Bound).
Leverage seasonal promotions
I plan to offer a special price on my VIP Experience since we’ve decided to open three more spots for the summer.
Take advantage of the summer season by offering enticing promotions; discounts can be an excellent option to promote your offering. Create summer-themed campaigns that align with your target audience’s interests.
Review and optimize operations
Because I’m taking fewer clients for the summer (I want to enjoy my time at the cottage), I will use some free time to optimize our client’s experience and optimize our operations. I currently use Dubsado (and just love it!) and want to create news templates and questionnaires.
Take some time to identify opportunities for automation or efficiency gains and implement customer relationship management (CRM) systems if you don’t have one, e-commerce platforms, or inventory management tools to streamline processes and improve your overall productivity.
Enhance my online presence
This summer, I will update my website, create engaging content to attract and retain customers and also leverage social media platforms to run targeted advertising campaigns. I will focus on engaging with my audience through captivating visuals and compelling messages.
Strengthening our online presence through digital marketing strategies is essential. If you have zero dollars to invest in advertising campaigns, creating content to engage with your ICA (Ideal Customer or Community Avatar) will help you build trust and share your expertise!

Develop strategic partnerships
I’m currently working on a new affiliate program this summer, and I’m looking at complementary businesses that target similar customer segments but offer different products or services.
Identify potential partnerships to help you scale your business. Collaborate on joint marketing initiatives, cross-promotions, or bundled offerings to expand your reach and attract new customers. It’s time to develop strategic partnerships this summer!
Then, you always need to take the time to monitor and analyze performance to assess the effectiveness of your strategies. Monitor metrics such as sales revenue, customer acquisition costs, customer retention rates, and website traffic. Use these insights to make data-driven decisions and adjust your approach accordingly. At the end of the summer, I will revise our summer goals and results and see what worked and what did not!
Remember, scaling a business takes time and careful planning. Execute your summer plan while maintaining a long-term perspective, and adapt your strategies as needed to achieve sustainable growth beyond the summer season!
