Have a bad day? As busy entrepreneurs, we always have days where things don’t go right. We are frustrated and discouraged, but we always find a way out. Right?!
Maybe a big meeting with a potential client didn’t go as planned, or you received an email from a frustrated client? As entrepreneurs, we must learn how to deal with these situations when they arise (trust me, they arise almost daily).
Here are some tips on how to handle adversity:
Accept the Day for What it Is
Remember, it’s just one day! Tomorrow will be a new day. Take a deep breath and focus on your WHY. Why did you start your business?
Talk it Out
You are not the only one facing bad days, so talk about it! I talk about it with a friend when I have a terrible day!
Someone who doesn’t get paid for a therapy session but helps you realize that your business journey is worth it, even if the challenges (and bad days) are part of it. Make sure to have a support team around you when needed!
Take action
Why is everything when wrong today? Can you do something different to avoid frustrated clients or any other situations? You can take back control; that’s what you have to remember.
You can also remind yourself that you might be misinterpreting the situation. Don’t jump to conclusions too fast. Force yourself to think positively, even on bad days.
Remember, when you’re feeling overwhelmed or in a sour mood, take a moment to step back and breathe. No one promised our business journey would be perfect, but the journey is worth it, trust me!
The good news is you can turn a bad day into a good one; “Happiness is a choice you have every single day.”

Remember, you are not alone if you have a bad day as an entrepreneur. What we see on social media, business owners always smiling and triumphant, is not always the reality. Having a bad day is normal and will happen during your entrepreneurial journey. Just be ready!
