Here is what you can do.
First, you could add website audits to your services via video chats or calls where you would suggest ways to improve a site to increase performance.
You would get paid for the call, and your clients may ask you and your team to tweak their website.
Then, as a web designer, you can sell industry-related guides and templates, create a mini-course, write an e-book, and more. If you already have an audience ready to buy new products from you, digital products can be a good option if you provide people with something they want or need. They last forever and can be updated easily.
Another tip: You can also offer V.I.P. Days (A.K.A. Designer Day Rates) for those who don’t need a new website built from scratch but only some tweaks to their existing website.
Remember, you don’t want to depend on a single source of income as a business owner. If your primary source of income doesn’t generate the expected revenue, you have something else you can use. Your goal should be to create different revenue streams for your business.
